It is of great honor and privilege to represent Benilde as on of the finalists for this year's Game On Competition for the school category. Also Ragnarok Protocol was chosen to be one of the games to be presented in the Benilde booth in ESGS.
We weren't able to update that much on our game but we managed to have improvements like fixing the bugs that were present in the game's last build and some graphical improvements to it. Just a note before you download the update, the boss to this update is more difficult than the previous version. We will be uploading a new build for Ragnarok Protocol this week and could be downloaded via the link below:
It was challenging for us at first to update our game since all of the members of GoaTo Interactive are doing their OJT / Internship for this term and it's just hard to find time to put the update alongside our tasks but we've managed to do some bug fixes and graphical improvements during our presentation at ESGS.
I've got to say that it was really scary at first because many people will get to play your game and you might not know if ground breaking bugs suddenly appear while they're playing your game but at the same time it was really fulfilling to see them enjoy while they were playing. Also some of my colleagues from Secret6 also played our game from both Game On and Benilde booth. Well it pretty much turned out fine and surprisingly the game was working perfectly and no bugs were able to appear during the exhibit.
Also this year's ESGS my friend from Bacolod also went to Manila just to experience the event! How great is that? Having a friend all away from Bacolod to travel here just to experience this one of a kind event in the gaming industry. We got to try some of the games like Final Fantasy XV, NBA 2k17, Call of Duty Infinite, and many other. We also got to win some neat freebies from the booths. WarfareThank Non Michael Ceballos for coming here! Till next time!
And one of my most favorite parts in ESGS was seeing my Math Teacher in highschool who was one of the many people who inspired me in my Math Career and thus making me take up Game Development. If it wasn't for him training me back then I may not able to survive Game Development in general. We were able to talk with some of the people in the game industry including some of the professors in Benilde and our chairpserson in GDD/IEMC. We also visited the booth of Benilde and let Sir Gumban's student play one of the games that a group of students from Benilde developed. It was really nice seeing you again Sir Richel Gumban! Also Congratulations for Saint Joseph School - La Salle for bragging again a silver medal in a national math competition this year! Really so proud of my alma mater. Really hoping that someday more students from my school will be taking up the same track as I did in game development.

Overall it was really a neat experience for presenting Ragnarok Protocol for ESGS 2016. Also ESGS this year was BIG! I really do hope that for next year ESGS will be bigger with much more in store for the game development industry here in the Philippines. Thank you everyone for supporting Ragnarok Protocol!
